Vision Grace School- early days

Pastor Emmanuel Reeves and Naomi Hard – Fall 2011
Pastor Reeves’ school – 63 students, no uniforms and few resources.

After our providential meeting at Kakata City Hall, greeting his wife Hawah and children, I knew something important was taking place. Pastor Reeves had accomplished much with almost no resources, but with a little financial assistance, his fledgling school would mature and multiply.

Getting Started

Kakata City Hall – The first time I interacted with members of the Reeves family, 2011.
The Reeves family accepted my first donation of school supplies, 2011

In Fall of 2011, while waiting for a meeting to begin at Kakata City Hall, I met a group of polite, well-behaved children. I inquired as to their parents. Pastor Reeves stepped forward, as several of the children were his. I asked, “Do you need some school supplies?” He quickly answered, “Yes, I have a small a school and need supplies.”

Thus began our friendship and partnering in ministry.

[Tragically, a few months later, Hawah, Pastor Reeves’ beloved wife, was struck by a vehicle on the street and perished, leaving behind a grieving husband and young children.]
